      Responsibilities

      Admission Coordinator

      Full-time 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.

      Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility)

      A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital will provide a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues will be offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility will provide a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.

      Position Summary

      The Admission Coordinator is responsible for answering the main doors as well as the hospital multi-line phone, verification of insurances, obtaining signatures on admitting paperwork, and processing of all admitting forms. The Coordinator interfaces with the Intake Department, patients, and nursing units.

      Qualifications

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • High School Diploma or GED required
      • Experience verifying insurance required
      • 1 to 3 years of experience working in an admissions or related department required
      • Multi-line phone and computer skills required
      • Professional, customer service focused individual with strong communication skills, ability to multi-task and critical thinking skills.
      • Willing to train the enthusiastic individual

      Work Hours : This position will work 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. and work weekends and holidays on a rotation schedule. This is an in-person position.
