Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist working 37.5 hours per week to join the Patient Services Team at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital. The working days will be Monday to Friday, with working hours between 8am and 8pm (normal working hours 8.30am to 5pm). The main area of working will be Amethyst Day Care Unit, however you may be required to work across all outpatient reception areas within the hospital site for cover purposes. We are looking for someone to provide a welcoming, professional and courteous service to patients and visitors who visit the hospital. The customer facing role of the receptionist will be instrumental to the efficient running of the Reception areas across the Trust, therefore you will be smartly presented and have excellent customer relations and communication skills to work in this customer facing service. Post holders will be required to assist patients and visitors using a variety of communication methods.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to liaise effectively with colleagues and other departments within the hospital in a professional and pleasant manner and to ensure the confidentiality of information and patient details is adhered to at all times, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, Caldicott guidelines and other Trust Policies and procedures.
