Receives calls and screens and/or directs calls to appropriate department and/or staff members; and obtains proper information from caller such as caller's name, nature of business, and person being called upon.
Provides administrative support in the form of mail-outs, making copies, sorting mail, communications, filing, faxing documents, records and logs all checks coming into the department, and other administrative and/or clerical functions.
Greets screens and/or directs visitors to appropriate department and/or staff member by obtaining the proper information such as visitor’s name, nature of business, and person being called upon, assigning and logging security badges, and paging department employees.
High School Diploma or equivalency required.
Minimum one (1) year as a receptionist answering a multi-line phone system or related experience required.
Working knowledge of common office software, including MS Office applications.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and telephone etiquette skills.
Bilingual ability in English and Spanish preferred.
Able to type 35 wpm accurately, ten key by touch, and have a basic knowledge of computers.
Able to operate a multi-line phone system and other basic office equipment.
Able to stoop, kneel, and sit for long periods of time.
Able to lift 10 – 20 lbs. of documents, copies, mail containers, or other office supplies/small office equipment.
