      Primary Purpose

      The Receptionist serves as the front-line representative of United Site Services and plays a vital role in ensuring a professional, efficient, and safe office environment. This position manages all front desk
      operations, provides administrative support across departments, and upholds safety and security protocols. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and customer-oriented, with a strong sense of
      responsibility for maintaining a welcoming and safe workplace.


      Essential Functions

      • Greet all visitors, vendors, and customers in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring proper sign-in and adherence to visitor safety procedures.
      • Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls via a multi-line system; take detailed messages when appropriate and ensure timely follow-up.
      • Maintain a clean, orderly, and presentable reception area in alignment with office safety and cleanliness standards.
      • Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries; coordinate outgoing mail and courier services.
      • Schedule and support internal meetings, including conference room setup, catering coordination, and visitor preparation.
      • Support department leaders with light administrative tasks including filing, data entry, formatting documents, and scanning.
      • Serve as a point of contact for building maintenance requests and facility service vendors.
      • Conduct regular walk-throughs of office common areas to identify safety concerns and address or escalate accordingly.
      • Support execution of emergency evacuation procedures, fire drills, and visitor accountability during emergencies.
      • Ensure compliance with company policies related to office safety, cleanliness, and security access.
      • Build relationships with internal departments, including HR, Operations, and Finance, to ensure efficient communication and administrative hand-offs.
      • Assist with onboarding activities such as welcoming new hires, preparing name badges, and setting up workspace materials.
      • Maintain up-to-date internal contact lists, emergency call rosters, and site directories.
      • Champion a positive and professional work environment reflective of USS’s core values.
      • Participate in ongoing administrative training and safety awareness programs.
      • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Experience supporting multi-departmental office

      environments is a plus.

      At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.


      Salary Range

      $17.64 – $23.81 / hour
