      Job summary

      We are offering an exiting opportunity to apply for a reception role at Alexandra Group Medical Practice.

      A highly motivated individual, wanting to progress and excel their career. You would be the communications between management and staff, to be able to delegate the workload and work towards practice achievement.

      The applicant needs to be flexible towards the practice needs and be able to accommodate between the working hours of 8am - 6.30pm. We look forward to receiving your application.

      Main duties of the job

      Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the practice

      Deal with all general enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow-up appointments, either over the telephone or face to face.

      Appropriately signpost patients

      Processing and distributing incoming mail and email

      Filing and retrieving paperwork

      Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines

      Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures

      Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team member and associated healthcare agencies and providers

      Providing administration assistance as required from time to time, including filing, photocopying and scanning

      Ensure that all new patients are registered onto the computer system promptly and accurately

      Receive and make telephone calls as required. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring you remain professional at all times.

      Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy in turn with other staff.

      Keeping the reception area and notice-boards tidy and free from obstructions and clutter

      Work well within the team.

      About us

      We are a medium sized practice with just over 7,500 patients.

      The practice has;

      3 GP partners, 1 ANP's ,1 Practice nurses and 1 Phlebotomist.

      12 admin staff.

      We also have staff proved by the PCN who are fulfilling the ARRS roles.

      We like to see ourselves as a small family, we try to support each other through our daily working life and would like welcome a new member.
