Job summary
*Please note this position is for Dashwood Medical Centre although cross site working may be expected at times*
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Receptionist for our busy practice. Your role will involve speaking with patients face to face and on the telephone, dealing with their queries, making appointments, liaising with other team members, community services etc. Registering new patients and various other administrative duties.
Main duties of the job
You will need to be flexible, possess a high standard of customer care, good communication skills and the ability to work in a team as well as on your own initiative.
A good standard of education, experience of working in a GP practice would be an advantage, but training will be provided for an applicant with the appropriate skills.
25 hours over 5 days
About us
We are a friendly, innovative practice with 6 GP partners & 4 salaried GP's and a list size of approx 11,500. We also have a clinical team comprising of Paramedic Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses and HCA's.
We are a high achieving QOF practice and our clinical system is EMIS Web.

It is the duty of each team member to assist in the smooth running of the Practice; however, this role focusses specifically on reception and administrative duties. It is also the responsibility of each employee to make sure that whoever comes into contact with the practice, either in person or via the telephone, receives the highest standard of respect, courtesy, fairness and professionalism.
Currently, the surgery is open from 08:00 18:30 hours on a Monday to Thursday, and Friday 08.00 20.00. Candidates will be expected to be flexible in their working hours.
The post holder will not be expected to work more than their contracted hours per week.
