  • Job Description

      Req#: RECEP099643

      Represents Sonora Hospital at the front desk and over the phone.

      • Ensures all patients are greeted in a prompt and professional manner.
      • Provides effective screening of telephone calls to the main hospital line by accurately identifying the callers’ needs, gathering necessary information and responding with an appropriate resource or service.
      • Receives calls from contracted/non-contracted hospitals, obtains basic information for completing inquiry call sheet.
      • Initiate completion of history/demographic form from patient/guardian.
      • Obtains copies of driver’s license and insurance card if available for registered patient visitors.
      • Provides clerical support to various departments, as needed.

      Serves as backup to medical records specialists, copying, filing, sorting documents.
