If so, we have the perfect opportunity for someone to join our ever expanding team at a busy GP practice in the heart of Worksop, a market town.

      We are looking to recruit a frontline receptionist working full time, Monday to Friday. You may be required to work Saturdays and extended hours, depending on the needs of the business.

      Main duties of the job

      Our receptionists provide a reception service for all patients including: appointment bookings, prescription requests & other enquiries.

      Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments.

      Signpost patients to the correct service.

      You will provide a meet & greet service for external visitors to the Practice. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team.

      A big part of the role is to receive & process incoming telephone calls to the practice in a timely manner.

      Distribute clinical/non- clinical correspondence to Practice members.

      Undertake tasks as requested. Issue repeat & acute prescriptions if required following practice protocols.

      Input data into patients' healthcare records as necessary.

      Comply with Practice Health & Safety Policy at all times.

      Uphold confidentiality at all times.

      Assist in any other tasks as requested by Reception/ General Manager.

      Person spec:

      Good communication skills, verbal, IT and written.

      Ability to be flexible and manage a busy working environment.

      Reception experience desirable.

      Experience of working with the general public.

      Clear, polite telephone manner.

      Sensitive and empathic in distressing situations.

      Ability to work under pressure.

      Newgate Medical Group (NMG) is a welcoming & busy single practice Primary Care Network (PCN) with over 30,000 patients.

      We are a large Practice. We have an established team of 9 GP Partners & a host of varied health professionals including pharmacists, nurses, ANP's, PA, Paramedics, Social Prescribing link worker, care co-ordinators & a large admin team.

      You will form part of an existing team, working together to maintain a high quality service.
