- RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To open/close practice
- Room check end of the day
- To assist with the smooth running of the practice
- To ensure all visitors and telephone callers to the practice are greeted professionally and friendly.
- New patient registrations.
- Call/recall of patients on chronic disease register and or long term conditions register.
- Making appointments on Emis Web, submitting triages for patients who are unable to do so.
- Dealing with all telephone queries/prescription requests from patients.
- Filing patient records/post.
- Ad hoc from PM and or partners.
- To answer telephone calls promptly and deal with enquiries in a helpful and courteous manner.
- Booking, cancelling, amending patient appointments.
- To have an overview of the demands and workflow of the practice during the day.
- Registering new patients within the catchment area.
- Dealing with internal and external post.
- Scanning and action the clinical correspondence as per GP instructions.
- Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of the team.
- Previous experience essential.
- To be flexible to cover shifts in the event of staff holidays and sickness at short notice

Job summary
We are looking for an receptionist/administrator, with good people skills to join our friendly team.
You will also need to possess a high level of organisation skills, have excellent communications skills with a good team spirit.
