Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly receptionist to join our administration team. This is a fixed term contract post for 52 weeks. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be empathetic, have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and be IT literate. You will provide excellent customer service and be able to work with our practice MDT team. Post for 27 hours per week Working days will be as follows (1 hour unpaid lunch) :
Tuesday 8.00 A.M. - 18.00 P.M.
Wednesday 8.00 A.M. - 18.00 P.M.
Friday 8.00 A.M. - 18.00 P.M.
Training will be available to use our clinical system (Systm1)
GP receptionist experience desirable
Main duties of the job
GP receptionist experience is desirable but training will be provided to the right candidate. Answering incoming calls and dealing with queries/signposting. Scanning, processing repeat medications, registration of new patients and all administrative reception tasks. Excellent communication, team player with a good attendance record.

Almond Road Surgery is a friendly GP practice with a list size of 7700 patients. We have been rated as Good by CQC in our 2022 inspection. We have a friendly administration team made up of 5 receptionists and 2 secretaries. The practice is focused on providing high quality care to our patients.
