- Booking appointments.
- Greeting patients.
- Answering queries from patients and outside agencies and/or signposting to appropriate members of staff.
- Updating patient records.
- Processing correspondence.
- Liaising with patients using various different types of communication methods.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience of working and providing customer services.
- Flexibility to cover other shifts.
- Good standard of education including Maths and English.
- Friendly and positive approach towards patients and other visitors either in person or over the telephone.
- Strong IT skills.
- Ideally you will have experience working within primary care, however this is not essential.
- Experience of EMIS would be desirable, however full training will be given to a suitable candidate.
- Experience of a busy reception/public environment desirable.
- Experience of working in a general practice will be an advantage but training will be given to a suitable candidate.

Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and pro-active receptionist to join the team based at our Colne Medical Centre. The role is offered on a part-time basis for 16-25 hours a week.
