      Psychiatric Services is a private practice that has been in business for over 60 years. We have 21 clinicians in our practice. Their specialities range from a Licensed Professional Counselor through MDs. We provide a wide array of services to people in the community.

      Schedule:

      We are hoping to find two qualified people to join our team.

      We need one person who can work 3:00pm-6/7pm Mon-Thur and 3:00-5pm Fridays. (possible flexibility if you can't work those hours M-F)

      The other position is flexible between 8am-3pm Mon-Friday, but Tuesdays are a must. (preference given to someone with 11am-3pm daily availability)

      We have worked with students in the past. We do offer flexibility and understand that schedules may change each semester.

      Salary/Wage Range:

      Hourly $19.00 to $19.00

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

      • Greets patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner as they enter the office
      • Answers incoming telephone calls in a courteous manner on a multi-line telephone system, routes calls or takes accurate messages in accordance with approved procedures
      • Schedules and cancels patient appointments and notifies clinicians when necessary
      • Completes work that is routed through the in-box throughout the course of the day
      • Collects co-payments and past due balances and assists patients with basic billing inquiries
      • Interacts with patients and their families in a compassionate manner
      • Operates standard office equipment including computer, printer, fax machine, copy machine, and postage meter
      • Sends and distributes faxes to the appropriate location
      • Maintains supply levels of materials and documents in the reception area and puts away new supplies as they arrive
      • Follows all designated opening and closing procedures for the reception area, waiting rooms, coffee room and break area
      • Assists in the training of new support staff members
      • Notifies the Operations Manager of necessary equipment repairs, general maintenance needs and requests to order additional supplies
      • Works effectively on a daily basis with all professional staff, support staff and management
      • Performs all record room duties as outlined in the records room coordinator description

      Records Room Staff Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

      • Prints designated reports for the clinicians’ schedules for the following business day
      • Pulls all charts per the reports and completes a form for any that cannot be located
      • Checks the to be pulled bin upstairs frequently throughout the day, completes an out card, pulls those charts and distributes them to the appropriate locations
      • Files back all charts that are placed in the basket upstairs as well as the cart downstairs
      • Locates missing charts by investigating to determine where the chart may have been most recently and looking in all possible locations
      • Manages changes in schedules for the following business day due to additions or cancellations
      • Coordinates the closing of charts and files them in the closed chart room once complete
      • Files loose paperwork in to the proper chart
      • Creates new charts for new patients
      • Makes copies of paperwork to be used in charts
      • Retrieves older closed charts from our offsite storage location
      • Thins and organizes charts as needed
      • Repairs or replaces charts that are torn or damaged
      • Assists with putting away supplies as they are delivered
      • Maintains the organization of the records room
      • Other duties as assigned

      Terms of Employment: This is a part time position (Less than 30 hours per week)

      Physical Requirements: Combination of sitting, walking and standing; ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds; frequent use of hands for typing and writing; speaking and hearing

      Qualifications:

      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform all duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The individual is required to multi-task, meet deadlines in a busy office setting and apply good judgment in solving problems. The individual must be able to provide good customer service in interactions with patients as well as the general public. The individual must follow all company policies and procedures and strictly maintain patient and practice confidentiality at all times.
