- Knowledgeable qualified or part qualified accountant with strong controls and risk focus
- Previous use of Oracle and Blackline would be advantageous but not essential
- Strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint coupled with strong analysis and problem-solving skills
- Experience of data flows with strong double entry knowledge, good analytical skills and willingness to follow through on issues
- Strong practical accounting capabilities and previous experience working with complex finance systems and processes
- Starting salary of up to £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.

Reconciliations Remediation Analyst (18 months)
Location: Norwich
Salary up to £50,000
We are recruiting for a reconciliations remediation analyst to join a reconciliations remediation project on an eighteen-month fixed term contract. This is great job for someone who is a qualified or part qualified accountant with previous reconciliations experience and wishes to further their career working for the UK’s leading Insurance, Wealth and Retirement business.
A bit about the job:
The post holder will pay a key part in the remediation of balance sheet reconciliations, your aim is to improve the quality of reconciliations so that they meet pre agreed remediation criteria and Aviva quality and efficiency standards. This will require an understanding of the purpose of balance sheet accounts, perform root cause analysis, understand data and process flows.
Often analysing high volumes of data, attention to detail is required together with the ability to stand back, see the bigger picture, understand key issues and identify opportunities to implement process improvements. You will need to be pragmatic in your approach, offering alternative ways to resolve long standing issues. Together with your leader you will use the information you have gathered to design reconciliation approaches that provide clarity, efficiency, control and identifies risk quickly and accurately. You will document these approaches clearly and concisely.
