      Medical Staff Bylaws, Hospital Administrative Polices, TJC, CMS and DOH regulations. The Record Analyst is responsible for assigning the appropriated deficiencies to physicians, residents and allied health care professionals to complete the chart. Follows department policies and procedures. Adheres to productivity and quality standards. Works required queues and audits according to schedule. The Record Analyst is responsible for retrieving, scanning, and transporting hospital patient information. Under general supervision, performs a variety of functions including, but not limited to, answering inquiries, completing release of information, resolving problems and interacting with patients, physician offices, and outside agencies to provide film, retrieving old records, and monitor fax folders. The Record Analyst will ensure that all inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department records are received, prepped, scanned and indexed into the patient’s electronic record. They are responsible for rounding on the nursing units to scan/index all paper documents into the electronic chart within the appropriate turn-around timeframe. The Record Analyst is also responsible for requesting records as needed for patients being seen in the hospital, as well as maintaining the Death Log and performing functions as required at the front desk. The Record Analyst will represent the hospital in a professional manner using excellent customer service practices in performing all duties.
