Job Description
- Req#: 9709597
- Digitization of historical and municipal materials using flatbed scanners and photography.
- Creation of metadata for archival objects.
- Uploading and maintaining digital assets through network drives and the digital asset management system, CONTENTdm.
- Processing archival collections using the content management system, ArchivesSpace.
- Assist with research for city wide projects.
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving ability.
- Self-motivated, self-directed
- Adept with software used in library and archive processing – Adobe Pro, Office 365, Microsoft Teams environment.
- Ability to learn industry specific software: ContentDM, ArchivesSpace, Sirsi Dynix
- Adept with hardware – Epson Expression 12000 XL, ScanSnap Pro, DSLR Camera, multifunction copier, Microsoft computers
- Consistently perform responsible clerical work involving office tasks of a varied nature.
- Apply industry standards of description to materials processed.
- Input information into library systems accurately
- Scan materials with precision
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform fine motor skill work.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time and to maintain focus on projects such as computer screens or detailed paperwork.
- Bachelor's degree or 2 years' experience in a fast-paced office setting.
- Must provide DMV Transcript.
