      Job Description

      Agile Decision Sciences (ADS,) a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Records Information Manager to support our nationwide contract to provide the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with library and records management services. This position is on-site at EPA's National Digitization Center in Lenexa, KS. Candidates should have expertise in Records and/or FOIA and will supervise staff and oversee operations at the Federal work site.       The RIM 4 may be responsible for indexing and building collections; establishing repositories; responding to circulation requests; working with site attorneys, and other Federal staff; developing weekly and monthly reports; training and evaluating new employees, potentially supervising project staff; and cross training existing staff.

      Responsibilities also include planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and coordinating all aspects of the task order. This position may serve as a primary point of contact with the government client and may be responsible for supervising ASRC staff in all aspects of the employee lifecycle with support from the program management team.

      Technical duties include providing innovations for records and information support, developing procedures and records schedules as needed, assisting with the implementation and maintenance of the records management program, implementing paper and electronic file plans, assisting EPA staff with storage procedures, conducting records inventories, developing and presenting trainings, overseeing the development and use of databases to track the movement of records and the operations of the local record storage areas.

      Requirements

      • Master's degree in library/information science or other Master's degree relevant to the work required for the Task Order, and a minimum of four (4) years of experience, two of which must be in a supervisory role with records management,

      OR 2) a Bachelor's Degree in library/information science and five (5) years of experience, two of which must be in a supervisory role, with records management and experience developing and/or supporting strategic plans.

      • Certified Records Manager (CRM) certificate may be substituted for two years' of experience in either the Master's or Bachelor's degree requirements cited above.
      • Background supporting Records and Electronic Records Management or related systems is required; NARA certification is desirable.
      • Experience with electronic content management systems such as Documentum and Versatile is very helpful
      • Knowledge of Federal record keeping requirements and protocols, working with Confidential Business Information, and fulfilling Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests is preferred
      • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work both as a team leader and team member
      • Experience working directly with customers and meeting project requirements and deadlines.
      • Experience with information technology as it relates to records, data centers, and digitization.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Business Tools—Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro.
      • Ability to pick up new technologies and applications
      • Employee must be able to communicate effectively, patiently and courteously with others
      • Customer service skills, strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are required

      Physical requirements: Full range of arm movement (e.g., lifting above the head), ability to do data entry, sit and stand for long periods of time, usage of step ladders to reach higher shelves, ability to lift at least 40 pounds in weight on a semi-daily basis, pushing or pulling up to 160 pounds on a cart, and the ability to bend, stoop, and kneel. Primarily works in an office environment; office appropriate attire required.
