What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee the processing of public records requests and compliance with required timeframes
- Mentor and lead staff, conducting performance meetings and appraisals
- Provide regular reporting and problem-solving to address barriers in records processing
- Present updates on trends and barriers to leadership and staff
- Actively resolve delays in records receipts by coordinating with various internal and external entities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in records management or an associate’s degree in paralegal studies, library science, or management
- Certificate program in records management and 1 year of experience in records management
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Knowledge of federal and state statutes concerning HIPAA and privacy laws
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Supervisory experience in records management
- Experience with operational analysis of programs and activities
- Familiarity with records retention policies and redaction techniques
