      Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region.       What you'll be doing
      The Recover @ Work Coordinator is responsible for delivering all aspects of workplace rehabilitation and Recover @ Work services across WSLHD – orchestrating the necessary consultation, advice and support, based on regulatory, legislative and local policy requirements, to LHD employees who are injured due to workplace injuries culminating in workers compensation claims.

      Recover @ Work Coordinator’s utilise specialised expertise and professionalism in order to assist injured employees in partnership with the Claims Manager and integrating the same with key LHD and external stakeholders. Tasks include promoting, planning, implementing and evaluating recover at work strategies for individual cases through the networking, consultation and development of tailored workplace recovery strategies.

      Considered a Subject Matter Expert regarding Recover @ Work principles, Workers Compensation legislation and related internal policies and procedures, the Recover @ Work Coordinator professionally navigates the recover at work process between all stakeholders concerning the medical and workplace management of injured employees.

      Selection Criteria:

      1. Current NSW Driver’s Licence Class C and hold SIRA NSW (WorkCover) Return to Work Coordinator Accreditation and/or equivalent relevant experience
      2. Sound knowledge and demonstrated experience in applying the principles and related guidelines of the NSW Workers Compensation Act 1987, Workplace Injury Management Act 1998 and Amendments, WH&S Act and Regulation of 2011
      3. Experience working in the workers compensation / injury management industry whereby your predominant tasks involved liaising with treatment providers, Insurance Case Managers, Managers and injured workers
      4. Experience working directly for an employer in a recover at work capacity where you were required to identify suitable duties, develop recovery at work plans, facilitate and chair portfolio meetings and undertake relevant training as a subject matter expert
      5. Proven experience in human-centred case management, strategic planning, program development, high level advice and implementation of rehabilitation plans in a Risk Management Framework
      6. Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to deliver proactive return to work initiatives and effectively engage injured workers
      7. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders and a busy work environment with competing priorities
      8. Proficient with utilising electronic claims management systems including but not limited to running statistical reports relevant to your portfolio
