About the position: This position is located at the Outdoor Recreation.
This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 31st Force Support Squadron at Aviano AB, Italy.
Scheduled tour of duty will require evenings, weekends, and holiday work hours.Duties
Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the operation and maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor recreational facilities.
Types of duties include but are not limited to the following:
Sets up recreation areas for scheduled activities; records attendance;
Takes reservations and payment for trips and tours;
Notifies participants of schedule changes; arranges for equipment or tools, charging them out to participants, and checking them for condition on their return;
Checks the established safety system of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and areas, tools, and equipment:
Posts announcements of schedules activities and answers inquiries about item, place, transportation, or other matters related to activities scheduled;
Takes inventory of authorized recreation supplies and equipment; and helps with group activities which require more than one staff monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is US Citizens or NATO country citizens with a valid US permanent resident card and Social Security Number.In accordance with the Status of Forces agreement between Italy and the US, you must be at Aviano AB on orders and be a US citizen or citizen of a NATO country with a US permanent resident card. Italian citizens may not apply for US NAF positions; however, may be eligible for local national positions on base. Must be able to provide documentation proving residence status overseas. Legal US residents must possess a social security number and be citizens of a NATO country.
The 31ST Force Support Squadron is not currently providing logistical support. Applicants must provide proper documentation indicating they are already a supported member of Aviano AB.
Qualifying Experience:
Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules and procedures.
Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use of maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required.About the company
