Job Description

- Assist with office duties of the Department.
- Perform scorekeeping/coaching/teaching duties for youth and adult recreation programs on weeknights and weekends.
- Help with the set-up, implementation, and breakdown of special events.
- Operate swimming pool concession stand during business hours.
- Monitor the use of equipment and activities
- Assist with the safety of equipment users and staff.
- Maintain the cleanliness of facilities.
- Welcome customers and answer questions.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Must have some previous work experience
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Recreation programs and good safety practices.
- Monitor recreation program participants and respond quickly and effectively in an emergency situation.
- Respond to simple requests or inquiries from the general public.
- Complete simple math calculations and make change.
- Be available to work a flexible schedule which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Provide Parks Recreation Department with additional office assistance. Operate Parks Recreation Department facilities during weekdays, weeknights and weekends. Assist with recreation programs and special events. This position is a PRN and will be scheduled on an as needed basis.
