      Job Description

      To provide a warm, welcoming, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere while exceeding guest expectations by providing professional activity and recreation assistance and facilitation.

      Responsibilities

      Essential Functions:

      • Report to work on time an in uniform when scheduled
      • Enthusiastically greet and converse with guests
      • Promote all programs - including daily activities, just for families, and holiday programs
      • Maintain clear communication with essential departments
      • Actively participate in the assurance of the safety and fun of all programs
      • Assist with general resort duties as assigned
      • Treat everyone, managers, associates and guests with courtesy and respect at all times
      • Become efficient with the Point of Sales and reservation system,
      • Assist with routine cleaning of all recreation areas and equipment (sweeping, mopping, picking up, organizing and keeping track of inventory)
      • Cross utilize in all areas of recreation when scheduled to do so
      • Complete daily checklists in their entirety
      • Properly complete recreation waiver

      Hotel Specific Essential Functions:

      • Outdoor Activity Coordinator – Primary Function
        • Working with supervisors and managers to ensure all activities are confirmed and guides are arranged
        • Inspecting that all equipment is in working order and any incidences or broken equipment is reported to management
        • Washing and putting away any equipment that was used throughout the day
      • Programming
        • Provide quality programming to all guests
        • Monitor ways to improve current programming
        • Innovate new programs with manager
        • Execute events with supervisors and managers
        • Function as guide or within store daily
        • Ensure trails are clear and equipment is in working order prior to tours beginning

      • Vehicle Maintenance
        • Communicate any damages or necessary maintenance to supervisors and managers
        • Maintaining any equipment that can be fixed such as fishing rods, basic equipment, etc.
        • Washing outdoor equipment and machinery as deemed necessary by manager
        • Monitoring for service lights or notices on motorized equipment

      • Tour Guide
        • Learn all areas of the tours offered through this department
        • Become efficient in riding a Segway, operating a UTV, and running an archery program
        • Efficiently react in a first responder way to accidents, injuries, and safety by using first aide
        • Learn facts about property in the nature and historical sense in order to teach guests during tours

      • Deck Attendant
        • Using a hose, rinse off the deck space daily
        • Monitor the cleanliness of the deck space
        • Organize the lounge chairs in an orderly fashion
        • Maintain the lounge chairs with weekly cleaning
        • Maintain the equipment used to clean the deck
        • Update the details of the weather board (sunrise, sunset, temperature, etc)
        • Respectfully assist guests
        • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the information huts
        • Responsible for setting the umbrellas up
        • Collect deck litter and remove full trash bins
        • Appropriately organize the towels in the huts as needed

      • Retail Store
        • Properly check in and out guests
        • Provide property-wide information to all guests
        • Properly fill out and file recreation waivers
        • Greet guests immediately with undivided attention
        • Up sell retail items
        • Promote activities
        • Maintain the cleanliness of Tally Ho and other areas utilized by Recreation department

      • Group Recreation
        • Plan and implement agendas, activities, children's camps, etc
        • Work closely with Manager, Supervisors and other associates
        • Independently run programs
        • Professionally represent the department and be a professional point person for group contacts

      Officiate tournaments
