Recreational Therapist

(Baccalaureate Degree in Therapeutic Recreation required and Recreation Therapist Certified (RTC))

Shift Hours: Per Diem, Weekdays and Weekends Available

Rate per hour $32

At Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation our services have been designed for patients who need a longer rehabilitation hospitalization for their recovery. We are currently seeking a Recreational Therapist to join our team.

Responsibilities

Job Duties

Plans and implements appropriate recreation activities for patients in accordance with guidelines set by the organization, hospital and the profession. Responsible for provision of therapeutic recreation intervention for an assigned caseload. Ensures all patients are oriented to recreation therapy and provides hospital wide leisure, social and divergent programs. Serves as an educator to patients on community resources.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Recreation Therapist Certified (RTC)
• Baccalaureate Degree in Therapeutic Recreation required
• Experience in Acute Rehab preferred

POETS are completed as part of the onboarding process- to be completed before an employee’s first day of work.
