WHAT YOU WILL DO:
This position will service as the Recruiter (Workforce Development Specialist II-III) under the direction of the Office Manager. The individual in this position helps find skilled workers to fill job openings. Background check will be conducted on final candidates, security sensitive position.
YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:
- Work with employers, business consultants, counselors, service representatives and others in the system.- Will be required to source talent through contacts with individuals and organizations outside the system. Individual will manage the full life cycle of recruitment activities, including outreaching and interviewing prospective candidates and referring qualified candidates to employers.
- When necessary, will receive and enter job posting information from an employer.
- She/he will spend most of their time recruiting, screening, and referring qualified candidates to job postings in WorkInTexas.com.
- Will actively participate in networking opportunities with outside sources (business associations, educational institutions, industry organizations, etc.) to increase candidate pool.
- Will provide continuing service to employers with open job postings in WorkInTexas.com, ensuring adequate referral activity.
- May be required to arrange and monitor the scheduling and logistics of employer interviews as well as onsite and jobsite hiring events.
- Will be required to document work as required in WorkInTexas.com.
- Must be flexible enough to adjust to changes and assist with other job duties that may involve walking and standing for long periods of time.
- General personal computer, Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office experience preferred.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
YOU QUALIFY WITH:
- WDS II: Two years and six months of full-time qualifying experience in gathering information, interviewing or counseling; the instruction, demonstration, and interpretation of policies in a public or private enterprise; direct social work; eligibility determination; or in workforce development issues and programs and customer service.
-WDS III: Three year of full-time qualifying experience in gathering information, interviewing or counseling; instruction, demonstration, and interpretation of policies in a public or private enterprise; direct social work; eligibility determination; customer service; or workforce development issues and programs.
-Both Levels: Fifteen semester hours of accredited college work may be substituted for each six months of experience.YOU ARE A GREAT FIT WITH:
- Someone that is computer-literate and has sufficient skills to help customers use electronic resources.- Interviewing, counseling, and job placement experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
