This position requires strong people skills as well as the ability to reason critically and objectively in making hiring decisions and in building and maintaining recruitment and selection systems. The person in this position must represent MetalTek professionally in person at events such as job fairs and also be able to put together effective written communications for advertisements and correspondence with candidates and recruitment resources. This position also has responsibility for helping managers to make hiring decisions through interpretation of assessment results and consideration all other data that is gathered on a candidate through interviews, background checks, references, etc. A successful person for this role will be well-organized and able to handle multiple priorities at the same time without errors. Recruit and fill all open hourly and salary positions within established hiring goals. Activities will require both active and passive candidate sourcing to identify the most qualified pool of candidates possible. May assist other locations in recruiting for select salaried positions. The Recruiter position is critical in making sure the organization has the correct staffing levels, with the required experience necessary, to be able to timely fulfill our commitments to our customers.
Qualifications
A degree in BS/BA with course work in HR employment law and practice, or 2+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry are preferred. Excellent communication, computer skills, experience using recruitment practices, and strong technical aptitude are required.
