    • With administration, student services & faculty input: plans, coordinates, and participates in recruitment efforts geared toward Regular Full-Time Programs.
    • Provides advisement for all applicants interested in enrolling in fulltime CareerTech programs.
    • Assists applicants and students in evaluating career interests by providing occupational information.
    • Works with students to determine short- and long-range educational needs of students and evaluating test data as necessary.
    • Promotes career and technology education programs by networking with leaders in community service clubs, state agencies, non-profit organizations, high schools, colleges, and universities
    • Delivers presentations; participates in professional organizations benefiting high school and adult students; attends conferences and workshops to ensure continued professional growth.
    • Participates in outreach activities including but not limited to 8th grade tours, 10th grade tours, career fairs, Dinner with the Teachers, Advisory Meeting Dinners, graduation ceremonies, and other events as assigned.
    • Assists in coordinating and interviewing applicants seeking to enroll in full-time programs.
    • Works with administrator(s) to notify students of admission
    • Enroll students using student accounting system and assist with maintain accurate records
    • Assists administrator and faculty with other tasks/details related to preparing students for admission
    • Attends and assists with student orientation.
    • Plans workshops on a variety of topics that benefit students.
    • Provides support & advisement for students addressing career, school, and personal challenges.
    • Assists in providing referrals to students requiring support services
    • Assists students who may require IEP or 504 education plans.
    • Notifies students of scholarship opportunities.
    • Assists administrator to conduct student program evaluations related to student class/clinical experiences.
    • Assist with collecting, organizing, managing, and reporting data as required.
    • Works with administrator(s) to maintain program data
    • Compile and submit ODCTE state enrollment reports
    • Works with administrator(s) to coordinate data for other accreditation agencies and reports.
    • Assists with collecting data related to student follow-up and placement
    • Provide front-line contact with customers at the Muskogee Campus including but not limited to phone and front office duties.
    • Attend faculty and other job-related meetings and events
    • Maintain confidentiality when working with all client information.
    • Performs other tasks and assumes other duties that may be assigned by administration.
    • Assists with preparation of a budget for recruitment and career advisement related activities.
    • Use efficient procedures to control expenditure of school funds within the department budget.
    • Maintain a line of communication and work cooperatively with instructors, administration, staff and community contacts.
    • Maintain professional competence through participation in professional and civic activities.
    • Establish and maintain a close working relationship with the staff of Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education.
    • Develop and maintain contact with community agencies for the purpose of advisory recommendations, student’s placement and/or career plans.
    • Promote programs and services to establish contacts within the Indian Capital service area.
    • Represent Indian Capital Technology Center at business and civic meetings and exhibitions.
    • Work cooperatively as an effective team member.
    • Develop a close working relationship with Student Services Staff, Adult Health Careers, and other Indian Capital Technology Center personnel and clients.
    • Maintain professional competence through participation in educational and civic activities.
    • Perform such other duties and assume such other responsibilities as directed by the appropriate administrator.

      JOB DESCRIPTION

      POSITION :
      Advisor/Recruiter (Regular Full-Time Programs)

      RESPONSIBLE TO:
      Campus Director

      QUALIFICATIONS
      EDUCATION:

      Minimum of an Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

      CERTIFICATION:
      Not Required

      EXPERIENCE:
      Minimum of three years of experience in Career and Technical Education preferred. Minimum of three years’ experience advising or related services in adult and/or secondary education preferred. Knowledge of Career and Technical Education, adult education, and health careers education preferred. Social work also considered a plus.

      PERSONNEL CLASSIFICATION:
      Non-Certified Support Personnel; Exempt

      SKILLS:
      Ability to utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Career and Technical programs. Knowledge and ability to use community resources. Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrate administrative and organizational competencies, team building skills, and positive communication skills. Must be adept at interpersonal skills. Excellent and building peer to peer and staff to student relationships.

      DEPENDABILITY:
      Regular attendance following a designated work schedule. Must be able to work extended hours and additional days/evenings as required by position responsibilities. Must be able to attend and participate in meetings/conferences as scheduled within the District, State, and other states. Must be able to submit required paperwork to supervisor on or before designated dates.

      PHYSICAL/MENTAL STANDARDS:
      Ability to read and comprehend a variety of written documents, regulations, and reference materials. Ability to meet and confer with individuals and groups concerning a variety of subjects including confidential matters. Ability to process paperwork effectively, and in a timely manner. Ability to operate a four-wheeled vehicle in order to travel. Requires lifting, handling and carrying of articles such as books, manuals, files, and other related items. Ability to lift 50 pounds from the floor to a four foot level.

      EMOTIONAL EFFORT:
      Moderate to extreme. Be able to work under stress, utilizing positive interpersonal skills and prioritize multiple assignments.

      LENGTH OF CONTRACT:
      12 months; Associates Degree STP-12; Bachelor Degree Level 1-12; Master Degree; Level 2-12 salary schedule
