      Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinator who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

      As a Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinator you will:
      • Work closely with a team of recruiters in a fast-paced environment, performing onboarding functions, verifications, and recruitment duties as assigned.
      •Be extremely organized, possess great communication skills, work effectively with internal and external clients and candidates, have the ability to shift gears at a moment’s notice and enjoy the challenges of helping to build a great organization of talented individuals.
      • Serve as a back-up for call outs that we have for the Front Desk at the Support Center as well as the Onboarding Clinic in Silver Spring.
      • Process new hires, seasonal employees, and other staff through the onboarding process.
      • Track background checks and references for completion. Schedules employee health appointments for all employees and contractors.
      • Verify license and Certifications are active and in good standing.
      • Assist with recruitment functions as needed.
      • Enter and edit requisitions, update job descriptions, screen resumes, contact candidates for initial phone screens, etc.
      • Coordinate job fair attendance to include managing vendors, supply shipment and ordering, and managing the event calendar / attendees.

      Qualifications include:
      • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
      • One (1) or more years of experience in an office environment required; One (1) year experience as an HR/Recruitment Coordinator or a similar relevant role within a corporate environment preferred.
      • Experience in onboarding, talent acquisition, or related field is strongly preferred
      • Understanding of Human Resource processes and procedures strongly preferred
      • Ability to use confidentiality and discretion with confidential materials
      • Approachable and confident to interact with employees at all levels
      • Ability to multi-task, manage projects, and detail oriented
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook, ATS- Workday preferred

      Work Schedule:

      Full-time days; Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Friday's 8:00am-3:00pm

      COVID-19 Vaccination

      Tobacco and Drug Statement

      Tobacco use is a well-recognized preventable cause of death in the United States and an important public health issue. In order to promote and maintain a healthy work environment, Adventist HealthCare will not hire applicants for employment who either state that they are nicotine users or who test positive for nicotine and drug use.

      While some jurisdictions, including Maryland, permit the use of marijuana for medical purposes, marijuana continues to be classified as an illegal drug under the federal Controlled Substances Act. As a result, medical marijuana use will not be accepted as a valid explanation for a positive drug test result.

      Adventist HealthCare will withdraw offers of employment to applicants who test positive for Cotinine (nicotine) and marijuana. Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing. ("Nicotine products" include, but are not limited to: cigarettes, cigars, pipes, chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes, vaping products, hookah, and nicotine replacement products (e.g., nicotine gum, nicotine patches, nicotine lozenges, etc.).
