      UTSC Management is a world leader in providing business education that is heavily influenced by experiential learning and internationalization. Combining rigorous academics with intensive Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) and professional skills development, our signature Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program educates more than 3,000 students annually in every functional area of business management as a foundation with the option to specialize, while more than 70% of students elect to pursue 12 months of paid co-op employment during their degree studies.       Your opportunity:

      Under the general direction of the Managing Director and with leadership guidance from the Senior Marketing and Communications Strategist, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing and supporting functions related to marketing UTSC Management undergraduate degree programs to prospective students. Working in regular consultation with the UTSC Admissions and Student Recruitment area and leveraging a strong equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) lens, the role will significantly contribute to creating pathways for equity-deserving students to engage with the UTSC Management community and access the highest level of business education from Canada’s top-ranked university. The incumbent will earn their reputation as a trusted, knowledgeable, empathic, and innovative connector who helps drive record levels of demand for UTSC Management programs.


      Your responsibilities will include:

      • Implementing marketing plans to amplify awareness of and interest in UTSC Management programs.
      • Fostering positive relationships with prospective students through conceptualizing, organizing, and executing local school visits, campus tours, and related recruitment events and activations in collaboration with the UTSC Admissions and Student Recruitment team.
      • Drafting and delivering student recruitment presentations and developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials
      • Building and maintaining a network of external contacts to support recruitment strategies
      • Advising potential applicants, students, parents, and/or guidance counselors on admissions criteria and processes by providing a range of options
      • Coordinating admission processes with departmental/divisional contacts
      • Conducting data analysis to inform recruitment strategies and plans
      • Keeping well-informed on theories related to equity, diversity and inclusion, as well as industry best practices and trends

      Essential Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
      • Minimum of 4 years of related experience in undergraduate student recruitment, student life, and/or admissions, including experience presenting to diverse groups and advising prospective students and parents.
      • Experience with digital and print content production and developing marketing collateral targeted to priority audiences.
      • Experience in event planning and execution, as well as demonstrated business use of social media tools (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
      • Experience developing, using and maintaining database systems.
      • Demonstrated superior communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
      • Familiarity with issues and trends in student recruitment, student life, and communications.
      • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and Canva Pro
      • Highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills characterized by honesty, integrity, and problem-solving.
      • Must show evidence of a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and the promotion of a respectful and collegial learning and working environment
