  We have an exciting opportunity for a Direct Sourcing Specialist to join our team on an initial 6-month contract.

  
  You’ll be part of our Volume Hire delivery team responsible for sourcing and delivering high quality candidates across permanent hiring to our Field Operations business area in a timely and cost-efficient manner. You may also at times support other business areas with their recruitment requirements.

  
  Location – predominantly home based, however you will ideally live close to one of the following sites as you will be required to visit the site occasionally: Leeds / Uddingston / Windsor.
  

  Key accountabilities:

  • Proactively sourcing and engaging with the best talent in the gas engineer industry using a variety of sources: Indeed, Total Jobs, CV Library and LinkedIn as well as explore/recommend new technologies and methods

  • Utilise provided media to support direct hire model and proactively source and mine suitable candidates

  • Screen CV’s to match skills and conduct detailed candidate telephone screens to match skillsets with requirements

  • Create a pipeline of candidates for current and future opportunities

  • Network and maintain relationships with candidates ensuring they are kept informed

  • Manage and support advertising campaigns, working within the team to utilise appropriate advertising mediums – sharing best practice

  • Ensure all activity is compliant and in line with relevant country specific legislation and governance to protect Centrica’s right to operate

  • Uphold the group recruitment and assessment standards for all hiring activity

  • Ensure all resourcing activity aligns to our talent and D&I agenda

  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialists ensuring the right candidates are identified in a timely and cost-effective manner

  Experience required to succeed in this role:

  • Experience of recruiting engineers in the Energy industry is essential, either from an agency or internal volume hire environment

  • Drive to direct source through utilisation of various media and online channels – proven experience of approaching, interviewing external candidates

  • Proven experience of CV mining and use of search methods including (Boolean searches)

  • Experience of using CV databases on such platforms as Indeed, Total Jobs, CV Library and LinkedIn Recruiter

  • Excellent communication skills including written skills

  • Ability to manage multiple task and disciplines simultaneously

  • Strong relationship management and communication skills

  • Proven analytical ability and commercial awareness – must have experience of using Excel

  • Great attention to detail and self-organised. Self-manager with a real desire to exceed targets
