- Assists RedBox Rx patients via phone, chat and email.
- Create and maintain patient profiles.
- Perform drug utilization review and pre-verification of prescriptions.
- Provides counseling to RedBox Rx patients in accordance with all state and federal statutes and regulations.
- Works with co-workers as a team to ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures and facility policies.
- Performs other related job duties and special projects as required.
- Handles inquiries that require a pharmacist’s expertise and judgment.
- Assists in training other employees.
- Assists in adherence to quality assurance standards.
- Adheres to all statutes and regulations pertaining to a pharmacist.
- Reports to work when scheduled and works expected number of hours.
- Reports any medication errors to appropriate personnel.
- College degree and active licensure as a registered pharmacist in Iowa with the ability to be licensed in additional states.
- Six months to a year of similar work experience.
- Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near and far range with or without correction.
- Must be able to physically exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, reaching, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

- Strong leadership skills; ability to assist other members of the department.
- Must have the ability to do logical or scientific thinking to solve problems; several abstract and concrete variables.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have the ability to do arithmetic calculations involving arithmetic, algebraic and geometric calculations
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, assisting in the preparation of accurate prescriptions.
- Must be able to compose original correspondence; follow technical manuals; have increased contact with people; interview counsel or advise people; evaluate technical data.

General Function
Pre-verification of prescriptions and counseling for RedBox Rx patients in accordance with all state and federal statutes and regulations. Assists with processing prescription orders from RedBox Rx providers and provides information on visit and treatment related inquiries.
