      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Manage outgoing referrals and coordinate patient external referral appointments in a timely manner
      - Obtain pre-authorization from insurance carriers and respond to inquiries from insurers
      - Facilitate communication among patients, referring providers, and external specialty practices
      - Troubleshoot complicated referrals and advocate for patients with insurance companies
      - Follow up on patient visits and ensure documentation is accurately captured in the EMR

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school graduate or GED; some college preferred
      - At least two years of experience in customer/patient service in a healthcare environment
      - Familiarity with medical terminology and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
      - Must speak Spanish and/or Cape Verde Creole
      - EPIC/OCHIN trained

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Background in managed care or experience with health insurance companies
      - Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
