- Erase all data stored on electronic devices and ensure no unauthorized information remains when products are refurbished for resale.
- Clean electronic devices thoroughly to restore them to optimal condition for sale, adhering to strict cleanliness and quality standards.
- Perform rigorous functionality tests on electronic devices to ensure compliance with original manufacturer specifications and high-quality standards.
- Pack orders accurately and securely according to Pick-to-Light system instructions, ensuring products are properly arranged to withstand shipment.
- Collaborate with team members across Refurbishment and Fulfillment Centers to achieve department objectives, emphasizing a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
- Report any issues promptly that may affect production timelines, safety, or product quality to management.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures and exercise good judgment in operational and loss prevention practices.
- Demonstrate commitment to GameStop's values, including a strong work ethic, professionalism, and respect for diversity and integrity.
- Support other departments as business needs require, maintaining flexibility and adaptability to changing demands.
- Follow established guidelines outlined in the DC/Refurb Associate Handbook to maintain consistency and efficiency in operations.
- Contributing to Team Success: Actively participates as a team member to achieve goals, emphasizing collaboration and communication.
- Quality Orientation: Ensures tasks are completed accurately and to the highest quality standards, conducting thorough checks and adhering to procedures.
- Safety Awareness: Identifies and corrects safety issues promptly to maintain a safe working environment for all associates.
- Must be at least 18 years old with state-required proof of age documents.
- Previous experience in a distribution center preferred, with a strong emphasis on fulfillment practices and quality assurance.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes up to 30 pounds and lift products up to 10 pounds from heights up to six feet.
- Must be able to push boxes weighing up to 30 pounds along a mechanically assisted conveyor.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods (eight or more hours daily).
- Effective communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and meet production goals, with a strong attention to detail.
- Basic math skills, including familiarity with Roman numerals.
- Comfort working in confined spaces (approximately three feet wide).
- Familiarity with and adherence to GameStop policies and procedures related to attendance, safety, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
