- Hire, onboard, and train new Business Office Managers across assigned communities.
- Provide direct oversight and guidance to Business Office Managers to ensure consistent execution of responsibilities.
- Conduct regular audits and reconcile resident ledgers to ensure billing accuracy.
- Post receipt batches and confirm timely recording of payments.
- Maintain and distribute a monthly Business Office calendar outlining key deadlines and deliverables.
- Temporarily fill in as a Business Office Manager at any community experiencing a vacancy, ensuring no disruption in operations.
- Review and monitor collections weekly with BOMs to maintain a 98% or higher collection rate.
- Audit HR files with BOMs to ensure completion of required onboarding and employment documents.
- Establish and communicate monthly task schedules and deadlines to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Conduct in-person training and property-level audits to support BOM performance and ensure policy adherence.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Conduct 90-day performance checks with newly hired Business Office Managers.
- Ensure month-end financial tasks are completed accurately and on time (by the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd business days of each month).
- Compile and analyze monthly operating statistics and performance metrics for review by senior leadership.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Assisted Living Waiver Program (ALWP) and Assisted Living settings.
- Prior experience supervising or managing business office functions in a multi-site environment is strongly preferred.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Required Health Screening, TB Clearance, and Criminal Record Clearance.
- Special skills needed to meet client needs [California Code of Regulations Sections: 85065(f)/87411(g)]
- 2+ years administrative healthcare experience.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Knowledge and commitment to hospice philosophy.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
- Ability to deal tactfully with patients and the community.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate business operations, healthcare billing practices, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Medi-Cal, Medicare, Social Security).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Yardi systems.
- Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and prioritize competing responsibilities.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and empathy in interactions with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Must be able to travel between properties regularly (up to 75% travel required).
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds for training or audit materials.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Business Office Manager (RBOM) is responsible for providing operational oversight, administrative support, and training to Business Office Managers (BOMs) across multiple communities. This role ensures consistent implementation of Savant’s policies and procedures and adherence to Federal, State, and company guidelines. The RBOM focuses on revenue cycle functions including ALW, Medicaid, Medicaid Pending, Private Pay collections, census management, and ensuring the corporate office receives all documentation necessary for billing and reimbursement across all payer sources. The RBOM conducts monthly site visits and provides on-site support as needed.
