      ROLE PURPOSE:

      • Analytical support for the Regional Routing & Capacity Manager on a regular and strategic level by creating operational analyzes based on service requirements, product and capacity changes, internal processes and changes in shipment volumes.
      • Support and build Capacity plans, maintain Short Term Capacity Model in line with Global requirements. Produce Network Schedules.

      YOUR TASKS:

      Customer:

      • Support and assist the department manager in producing, communicating and publishing Seasonal, Permanent, Holiday and Adhoc capacity & routing change.
      • Closely work together with and coordinate several different parties involved in the whole Scheduling and Planning Process within and outside of DHL.
      • Produce detailed analyses and provide consulting regarding capacity usage, space issues, ACS & TDI requirements.
      • Regularly design, build, update and maintain internal routing databases.
      • Maximizing the capacity utilization within the MEA TDI network by analyzing shipment routings and container splits
      • Analysis and communication of the successful implementation of all network changes
      • Support of the NCG division in contingency planning and implementation in the event of unexpected emergency situations (strikes, weather problems, virus crisis, etc.) that affect normal network operations.
      • Support real time NCG with required data or reports.
      • Responsible for the communication of all shipment routing requirements.
      • Support of the Network Planning department with proposed changes to the MEA and intercontinental network
      • Execution of forecasts as well as BSA / AGA and Flex assignments for ACS via the SCM system
      • Analysis of planned air and CAL schedule requirements including vacation / holiday planning, as well as communication of these plans to NCG
      • Central contact point within the Network MEA area for reporting incidents and effects of changes in the intercontinental network plans
      • Responsible for compliance with the MRC (Management of routing changes) instructions and ensuring that all routing changes are recorded by NRUs and distributed to the regional routing coordinators.
      • Work closely together and assist other team members within the whole Network Control Group regionally in MEA.
      • Provide complete support to network in the absence of line manager.

      Stakeholder:

      Regional and Global Aviation

      • Assist regional Aviation in the co-ordination, agreement and activation of flight contingencies.

      Process:

      NCG Performance

      • Lead the process and system compliance of the Regional NCG’s.
      • Develop Corrective Action and Contingency plans in conjunction with Regional NCG’s and Aviation.

      Capacity Control

      • Review monthly forecasts and allocations for regional dedicated flights.
      • Respond to issues arising from demand changes in the network to ensure movement of shipments without service impact at the lowest possible cost.

      ULD Control

      • Work with Regional ULD control to ensure allocations are best fitting the ULD availability and regional ULD movement requirements.
      • Ensure compliance of NCG to ULD Balancing strategies

      People – Management:

      • Management of senior professionals with diverse skill sets from operational immediate decision-making roles, analytical process orientated roles and knowledge specialist professionals.

      YOUR PROFILE:

      • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
      • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
      • At a high level in English.
      • Knowledge of Arabic and French a plus.
      • High degree of analytical skills and numerical accuracy when executing tasks
      • Experience in Airline Scheduling as well as knowledge of aviation, transportation systems, operations, economics and logistic networks preferred.
      • Preferably a solid knowledge of the DHL Express Network
      • University Educated in a discipline such as Economics, Transport Logistics, Finance or the Sciences.
      • Expert Software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
      • Experience with aviation scheduling tools is a plus.
      • Programming skills, SQL Database or advanced VBA Excel skills are very desirable..
      • Self-starter and independent problem solver.
      • Ability to demonstrate business drive with a focus toward delivering results.
      • Ability to define problems, establish facts, solve problems, make recommendations and draw valid conclusions in a timely and accurate manner.
      • Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects under time pressure and deadlines.
      • Extensive operational knowledge and understanding of flight operations, ground operations, cargo operations, airport operations, dispatch, aircraft maintenance, Network Control and dangerous goods
      • Tenacity to ensure objectives are always achieved.
