      Position: Regional Carrier Specialist (RCS); Logistics and Transportation

      Job Description:

      Due to continued expansion, Forward’s Carrier Management team is seeking a Regional Carrier Specialist (RCS), at its Groveport, OH facility. Forward is seeking self-motivated individuals to successfully oversee the on-time service performance and administration of our P&D vendor network. This role is responsible to ensure that shipments are picked up and delivered on time with the applicable data entry completed. It also handles issues occurring before, during and after service; determining if additional cost is justified or charges warranted with customer consultation. They may engage with Forward’s sales and operations forces to gain full resolution. The RCS also work with terminal personnel and management to resolve delays associated with the hand off between the vendor and Forward’s terminal.

      Core Responsibilities and Duties:

      • Operate with integrity and a safety and service-centric mindset
      • Ensure the daily performance of Forward’s PU&D vendors meets company expectations
      • Ensure vendor and terminal understanding and accountability to meet Key Performance measures:
        • On-time service performance
        • Proof-of-service data within 30 minutes of service completion
        • Proof-of-Delivery images are made visible to customers by the following morning
      • Vendor invoicing is performed systematically within contractual guidelines
      • Ensure accessorial charges are denied or applied with proper judgement, documentation, accuracy and professionalism
      • Operate and oversee the PU&D assignment in a way that avoids claims
      • Professional communication
      • Perform basic math, typing, computer literacy and utilize multiple software applications
      • Initial search for lost freight
      • Use effective organization and multitasking skills to operate successfully in a fast paced environment
      • Contribute favorably to the team culture of teamwork, proactivity, urgency, and ownership
      • Other duties as assigned

      Qualifications:

      • Interest and aptitude for Logistics, Transportation, Customer Service and/or Leadership
      • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
      • Ability to build positive and effective work relationships
      • Excellent verbal and written/email communication skills
      • Self-discipline
      • Multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment
      • Basic fluency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, 365, Word, Power Point
      • Effective Interpersonal skills
      • Valid Driver’s License
      • Reliable attendance
