By joining Edrington, you not only become a part of a dynamic and innovative team but also gain access to a range of benefits that prioritize your success, health, and happiness. - Manage corporate communications that protect and promote Edrington’s reputation and commercial interests across the Edrington Americas region of the USA, LatAm and Canada, with the USA as the primary focus.
- Lead and develop a regional employee communication plan in collaboration with the Americas Executive Leadership Team and the global corporate affairs team.
- Strategic planning and execution of innovative internal communications across a range of channels (principally email, key presentations, video and message screens) to ensure our people feel informed, valued and engaged.
- Support Global Corporate Affairs on the company’s global internal and external communications, using your skills to tailor communications where necessary so that they resonate with your audiences.
- Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders such as the Americas leadership team, Corporate Affairs, HR, Brands marketing, Sustainability and Legal.
- Develop effective relationships with external stakeholders and media that build awareness and understanding of Edrington’s business, with the aim of enhancing Edrington’s employer brand across our industry in the Americas.
- Work with the employee-run Giving More committee to amplify the Giving More agenda in the Americas and provide guidance and training that develops their communication skills. Work closely with the global corporate affairs team to ensure the contribution of the Americas team is considered best-practice and is shared compellingly with colleagues around the world.
- Collaborate with global colleagues to communicate the Americas sustainability strategy, with an emphasis on environmental sustainability and promoting the responsible consumption of alcohol.
- Consolidate and curate an annual regional comprehensive calendar comprising all events to which employees will be invited or should have visibility.
- Organize and coordinate employee townhalls and other key corporate events, managing internal stakeholders, collaborating with presenters, and engaging suppliers where required.
- Brief and manage the work of external agencies, as applicable and as directed by Manager or Matrix Manager.
- With oversight from Americas’ General Counsel, serve as regional lead on crisis and reputation management issues across the Americas, with the guidance and support of global corporate affairs and legal teams where required.
- Possess a Bachelors degree, preferably in a field related to communications.
- Demonstrate strong command of spoken and written communication skills in English. Bilingual Spanish would be an advantage for this role.
- At least five years of relevant experience in a corporate or agency environment, with direct responsibility for copywriting internal communications, videos, press releases and preparing responses to media enquiries. Experience of managing communication and event agencies would be an advantage.
- Ability to organize high quality internal events, such as virtual and in-person townhalls.
- Broad understanding of the alcoholic drinks industry landscape in the USA market and relevant media.
- Familiarity with premium and luxury brand characteristics would be an advantage, particularly in the alcoholic beverage sector.
- An appreciation of the national and international regulatory environment that relates to alcohol policy (although in-depth policy work is managed by the legal and the global corporate affairs teams).
- A strategic and analytical mindset with experience of complex issues, corporate functions and geographies.
- Strong organizational skills, detail orientated, and results driven.
- Experience of working independently and also collaborating with a wider team (ideally international).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and expertise of handling business-critical relationships, including media and other interest groups such as professional organizations.
- Demonstrate curiosity and creativity to develop compelling communications and creative use of communication channels to deliver employee engagement.
- An excellent personal communication style that flexes appropriately to all roles and levels of seniority.
- Able to demonstrate ethics and judgement, with an awareness of cultural differences.
- Able to identify and deal with new challenges, embracing change and innovation while always adhering to Edrington’s values of giving, respect, integrity and excellence.

The role has been created to support the Edrington Americas leadership team and the global Corporate Affairs team with guidance, analysis and communication materials. The Corporate Communications Manager, Americas will report to the Head of Legal & Corporate Affairs for Edrington Americas and will also have a reporting line into the Global Corporate Affairs Director based in Scotland. You will enjoy working independently across a variety of issues and will also enjoy the collaboration and support of the global corporate affairs team based in Scotland, as well as regional corporate affairs colleagues based in the Dominican Republic and Singapore
