      Our Defence team

      Being in our Defence business means you'll be working to provide secure network and solutions for our defence customer segment.

      Please note that all candidates must be Australian Citizens and hold either an NV1 Security Clearance or a minimum of a Baseline AGSVA Security Clearance to be considered. This role requires obtaining (if not already held) and maintaining an NV1 Security Clearance.

      The Opportunity

      We’re looking for a highly motivated and passionate Regional Defence Technician to join the Global Business Services Field Team. This is an onsite role that will be based in Brisbane.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Working on the customers ICT environment that includes Defence’s Juniper ICT network, wireless technology, Skype of business voice, Video conferencing and passive infrastructure (Fibre and copper).

      • Managing workload within the customers services management tool to meet SLAs.

      • Working individually or with other teams to resolve incidents within SLAs.

      • Working individually or with other teams to deliver service requests that meet the customers’ requirements within SLA’s.

      • Updating documentation during changes such as cable solve or record books to maintain accuracy of the ICT environment.

      • Maintain and report the security of the ICT environment.

      What you need to succeed

      • Hold a minimum of Baseline AGSVA security clearance.

      • Knowledge on Data networks such as Juniper.

      • Experience in voice technology IP and analogue SFB.

      • Experience with passive ICT copper and fibre.

      • Skills in VTC

      • Highly skilled in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.

      • Expert communication and presentation skills

      • Excellent negotiation skills

      • Proven ability to manage conflicting demands.
