      UHS is currently recruiting for our Regional Director – Accounting & Finance for the Texas/OK region. The position will be based at the South Texas Health System.

      Position Summary:

      Directs and coordinates all aspects of the Financial Planning and Analysis functions for the Texas/Oklahoma Region. Responsibilities include:

      • Coordinates and supervises Analytics Staff in the TX/OK Region. Ensures that the staff provides the highest level of technical accuracy and service excellence to all customers.
      • Coordinates and supervises the preparation and analysis of the month end Revenue Cycle.

      • Coordinates and supervises the completion and distribution of the monthly financial reporting packages for the TX/OK Region.
      • Coordinates and supervises the completion of the annual operating budget financial statements including all income and expense reports and statistical reports.
      • Works with Regional and Local leadership to prepare ad hoc reporting providing business insights.


      Qualifications

      Job Requirements:
      5 to 8 years of supervisory or management experience.

      8 to 10 years of financial experience in an Acute care setting.

      • Master's degree preferred, or Bachelor’s Degree with a CPA required.

      • Proficiency with common computer based applications such as electronic mail, word processing and various databases, whether PC, network or mainframe based.

      Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

      Effective verbal and written communication and collaboration.

      Strong decision making, problem solving and time management skills, with the ability to oversee numerous priorities.

      Ability to direct accounting resources and coordinate the completion of financial deliverables.

      • Travel Requirements: Travel between TX/OK region hospitals may be required.
