      Job Description

      The Regional Director of Operations (RDO) supports USACS’s Regional Vice President (RVP), Medical Directors, and Regional Director of Advanced Practice Providers (APP) by providing the operational and administrative leadership necessary to deliver Patient-Centered care. The primary purpose of the RDO is to coordinate clinical and administrative services with the respective Regional Vice President for assigned sites. The RDO helps to define, implement and oversee staffing needs, as well as coordinate recruiting, credentialing, scheduling and onboarding. The RDO supports contract requirements, quality improvement programs, workflow, cost containment initiatives, and develops goals that align with the company’s Strategic Plan and their hospital partners’ needs.

      ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


      • Develop and maintain professional relationships with the RVP, Medical Directors, Lead APPs, staff clinicians, and USACS MSO contacts
      • Identify and maintain relationships with key contract decision makers at assigned hospital partners in conjunction with the RVP
      • Assist with preparation and presentation of client quarterly business reviews

      • Provide effective and timely communication throughout the organization, with clinicians and hospital partners to ensure all required reporting is completed timely and accurately; act as central point of contact for operational issues impacting clients within the assigned region

      • Ensure compliance with each hospital’s service agreement, incentives and subsidies
      • Support hospital partners in meeting requirements related to quality, stroke and trauma designation and other site initiatives

      • Facilitate weekly regional operations meeting (recruiting, credentialing, scheduling) to ensure seamless operations as well as clinician satisfaction
      • Coordinate site training and onboarding for clinicians
      • Participates in monthly meetings as assigned by RVP (service line meetings, quarterly business reviews, operations meetings etc.)

      • Serve as subject matter expert on operational performance to ensure processes, people and analytics are in place to drive efficiency and productivity

      • Participate in contract implementations and integrations to support optimum staff performance; communicates regularly with MSO to ensure successful project management

      • Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) of client and report results, identify performance trends and facilitate activities to improve performance in coordination with site leadership

      • Monitor site documentation, specifically coder communications, incomplete medical records, and assists with information management between the hospital and Revenue Cycle Mgmt
      • Other duties as assigned

      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:


      • Emergency Department leadership experience, or equivalent healthcare leadership experience
      • Emergency Department or other healthcare management strongly preferred
      • Must have experience in management of teams, specifically as a facilitator
      • Ability to understand and analyze service line data, work-flow and financial information.
      • Understanding of budgets, productivity and healthcare billing
      • Operate with a great deal of autonomy and be able to take projects from inception to completion
      • Excellent attention to details
      • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
      • Must have computer skills and a willingness to learn in areas that are lacking
      • Must communicate effectively

      EDUCATION:


      • BA degree required
      • Graduate degree preferred with concentration in healthcare

      Hourly rate may be determined on several factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, experience, education, geographical location and requirements stated in job description.
