The Regional Director of Resident Care is responsible for providing overall leadership for the health and well being of residents within a group of Sunrise Senior Living communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:- Specialized clinical resources to community Health Care Coordinators (nurses) and assists Area Managers in the delivery of resident care- Quality monitoring of services, training, regulatory compliance and implementation of resident care policies, forms and systems- Coaching and mentoring the Health Care Coordinators and provides strategies for nurse retention- Develops and maintains relationships with resident care vendors and professional organizations as part of the nurse recruitment strategy and networking

Qualifications:- A minimum of five (5) years experience as a Professional Nurse and maintains a current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) per state regulations- At least two (2) years nursing management experience in assisted living, home health, skilled nursing or long term care environments- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred- Competent of current and evolving state and federal laws effective provision of care to residents- Ability to effectively partner with team leadership and dynamics- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills- Demonstrates effective training skills, effective written and verbal communication skills- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications- Able to travel within a geographic area or on assignments with Sunrise- Demonstration of competence in assessment skills and know how to recognize and implement the standards that protect brand integrity through all services- Competent in organizational, time management skills- Champions the quality of life for all seniors and champions the belief in the sacred value of human life
