Your Mission Be the Leader of the REP Cairo and be responsible to manage and coordinate all activities related to engineering and project services for GCP across the MEA Zone with multiple locations and lines of business. Assess the needs and support requests from customers and coordinates internal functions to answer customers’ needs. The position is accountable for direction and coordination of engineering services and solutions projects over multiple locations and product lines. · Lead the Engineering & project services (doc control, planning & CAD drafting) teams in REP to support properly on time and with the right quality: GACs, RACs and HUBs/DPACs · Responsible for the customer projects performance in the technical area of responsibility, focused on delivering the performance and improving profitability / customer satisfaction of all projects requiring REP support (GAC, RAC and Hub) · Lead the different technical departments and ensure right governance & response level to all project’s stakeholders. · Assess competencies and according to the business needs, develop and ramp-up technical competencies level to answer customer requirements and projects stakeholders requirements across the zone · Ensure the right workload balance in departments and organization for optimum absorption of cost. · Ensure the right link and collaboration with business to help to secure future pipeline · Establish operating budgets; monitor the cost, effectiveness, and reliability of technical activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and ensure that standards are met. · Monitor competitor offerings and industry trends and research; evaluate and recommend investments in competencies, tools & technology that will improve the quality of the organization · Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of managers and professionals to achieve established budget, quality, and business goals. Technical Teams Management & Governance: · Ensures quality designs, architectures and analyses are released on time, within budget, and to customer specifications · Ensure the right timeliness measures to ensure right engineering efficiency · Ensure the right strategy in terms of: people, resources, structure, process, decision, and rewards for business success · Acts as liaison between projects, locations, functions, and Companies · Align with business segment goals and priorities: · In the international environment, with focus on segments, ensure the right structure, resources and competencies are available and aligned Customer Focus: · Ensure technical team strategy is in line with customer expectations. · Take the proper technical management decisions to benefit to the project and to meet customer satisfaction. Strategic transformation: · Ensures programs objectives, supports functional strategic plans and aligns business plan to transformation objectives. · Drive development of new engineering programs and offers. · Ensure right Quality process, Methods, Tools are aligned with Company strategy · Be accountable that project portfolio is following Schneider Electric processes (CPP, Technical Design Process.) Workload Balance and absorption: · Ensure the right balanced workload for the teams · Put the right actions for over/under load situations Qualifications About You Experience: · 10 years in leading technical teams in large & international organizations. · Having faced several difficult /complex project execution challenges, and having mobilized teams to overcome a critical situation · Technical experience in a specific market segment or in a customer application/process is a plus. Skills requirements · Ability to think out of the box and take decisions in complex and risky context. · Ability to communicate (written, verbal) clearly in concise and synthetic manner on complex technical strategy. · Ability to lead with agility in a complex & matrix environment. · Ability to learn from others, share her/his knowledge, coach others and collaborate efficiently.
