      About the role

      As the Regional Manager ABS, you will have a strong focus on operational excellence, strategy and productivity. You will align, refine and support the deployment of the Alcoa Business System (ABS) across Alcoa’s full portfolio of operations in North America. You will also support the productivity improvement program for the region as well as the development and realization of the North American Operations Strategy.

      Reporting to the Vice-President of Operations, North America and working closely with the Finance Business Partner, you will:

      • Deploy ABS best practices and playbook to all locations

      • Support development and maintenance of Alcoa Business System (ABS) standards, including t he regional rollout of global Alcoa Business System (ABS) standard, including supporting locations with needs assessments and annual plans as well as the Regional & Global Help chain support from other Continuous Improvement specialist areas

      • Progress measurement & feedback processes of the ABS Program deployment

      • Identify and implement application of digital technologies to ABS process

      • Support Change Management Processes for Organization Transformation

      • Act as the Local contact point for regional VP & Operations Managers

      • Facilitate the Regional deployment of L&D Implementation strategy, the Regional Rollout of Operator Centric Training and coaching of mindset and the Integration of Asset Management REX and CI Manufacturing Excellence into the Business System Standard

      What you bring to the role:

      • Demonstrated experience of delivering productivity gains through continuous improvement solutions.

      • Extensive knowledge of Management Systems and LEAN principles and practices across manufacturing processes

      • Extensive experience in leading change, building relationships, working collaboratively and delivering through others without direct line authority

      • Strong business acumen, focused on achieving appropriate balance between cost, risk, and long-term value creation

      • Evidence of coaching and mentoring skills and effective communication and interpersonal skills within multi-disciplinary technical teams.

      • Degree in Engineering, Science or Business. Master’s degree is desirable.

      • 10 years’ experience in Technical, ABS, Lean leadership roles in a mining / process manufacturing environment

      Relevant du vice-président des opérations, Amérique du Nord et travaillant en étroite collaboration avec le partenaire d'affaires Finance, vous devrez :

      • Déployer les meilleures pratiques ABS et son playbook sur tous les sites

      • Soutenir le développement et la maintenance des normes Alcoa Business System (ABS), y compris le déploiement régional de la norme mondiale Alcoa Business System (ABS), le soutien aux sites avec des évaluations des besoins et des plans annuels de même que le soutien à la chaîne d'aide régionale et mondiale venant des groupes de spécialistes d’amélioration continue.

      • Développer le processus de mesure des progrès et de retour d'information du déploiement du programme ABS

      • Identifier et mettre en œuvre l'application des technologies numériques soutenant le processus ABS

      • Soutenir les processus de gestion du changement pour la transformation de l'organisation

      • Agir en tant que point de contact local pour les vice-présidents régionaux et les directeurs des opérations

      • Faciliter le déploiement régional de la stratégie de mise en œuvre de L&D, le déploiement régional de la formation centrée sur les opérateurs et le coaching de l'état d'esprit et l'intégration de la gestion des actifs REX et de l'excellence de fabrication CI dans la norme du système d'entreprise.

      Ce que vous apportez au rôle :

      • Expérience démontrée dans la réalisation de gains de productivité grâce à des solutions d'amélioration continue.

      • Connaissance approfondie des systèmes de gestion et des principes et pratiques LEAN dans les processus de fabrication.

      • Vaste expérience dans la conduite du changement, l'établissement de relations, le travail en collaboration et la réalisation par l'intermédiaire d'autrui sans autorité hiérarchique directe.

      • Fort sens des affaires, axé sur l'atteinte d'un équilibre approprié entre les coûts, les risques et la création de valeur à long terme

      • Preuve de compétences en coaching et en mentorat et de compétences efficaces en communication et en relations interpersonnelles au sein d'équipes techniques multidisciplinaires.

      • Diplôme en ingénierie, en sciences ou en finance. Une maîtrise est souhaitable.

      • 10 ans d'expérience dans des rôles de leadership technique, ABS et Lean dans un environnement minier/de fabrication de procédés

      Base salary: $123,500 - $169,500 USD annually

      Total rewards packages listed, including base salary and bonus eligibility, applies to US based applicants only. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on a range of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies in conjunction with multiple components of the Employee Total Rewards Package. Alcoa reserves the right to change plans at its discretion.
