As the oncology healthcare ecosystem and customer needs continues to evolve, Lilly has developed a new role evolving our engagement model that we believe will better support our customers and patients. The Regional Oncology Consultant (ROC) will focus on addressing customer needs by helping HCPs with patient initiation and adherence opportunities in addition to supporting customers with information and resources across the oncology portfolio within identified accounts. The ROC is a commercial, non-sales, field-based role, who represents the Lilly Oncology portfolio of products with the remit to support the treatment decision by the individual HCP and connect customers to resources or field partners that can aid in the patient initiation and positive treatment experience on Loxo@Lilly oncology products, ultimately impacting the patient experiences & outcomes. This individual will focus on their prioritized accounts where this shift in approach is more aligned to customer needs by not seeking to influence the treatment decision of the prescribing HCP or support staff but focused on needs. This role will look to engage with a broad range of oncology stakeholders including Oncologists, mid-level treaters, pharmacists, nurse team members and additional ancillary team members involved in patient care to drive impact.

Account Management: Strong ability to navigate through an account and understands how policies & process influence and impact the individual HCPs as well as the important staff treating oncology patients. Demonstrated ability to exceptionally partner with other field roles to help address customer needs, including medical science liaisons, precision medicine consultants, FRMs, ROAMs, etc (within appropriate guidelines and policies) Strong clinical understanding of portfolio disease state & on-label product information to address questions and needs of the customer effectively and efficiently. Demonstrated growth mindset, ability to navigate in white space and ambiguity while still driving towards goals
Responsibilities:
Navigate care teams in a complex and high-speed Oncology Specialty setting understanding the treatment landscape and patient flow.
Establish key relationships with a broad range of customers within an account to identify and address customers’ explicit needs within the Loxo@Lilly portfolio.
Leverage Needs-Based Consulting to uncover patient initiation and adherence needs and connect to the appropriate Lilly resource or partner to support the oncologist/practice/account and their patients at achieving the best outcome possible.
Cover the entire Loxo@Lilly portfolio of products and resources
ROCs must be viewed as a trustworthy resource and will be responsible for understanding the on-label product information, disease states and the wide variety of resources, including how and when to leverage these resources effectively to address a customer need.
Self-motivated and engrossed in problem solving at the HCP and account level to identify where there are needs and help support positive outcomes for patient that are started on Loxo@lilly products.
Leverage analytics to prioritize focus and impact: Utilize provided data, NBA, market insights and Veeva CRM to select, evaluate, and adjust recommend account & HCP focus, including planning strategies based on stated analysis. Effective organizational skills and account management skills to develop, evaluate and adjust territory management plans. This includes planning, partnership, targeting and frequency among others.
Effectively collaborate and coordinate with all Lilly Field roles (such as Precisions Medicine Consultants, Regional Oncology Account Managers, FRMs, Sales, Field Medical, Brand, etc.) to ensure effective and efficient connections to customer
Effective and appropriate business communication practices (presentation, virtual tools, written, etc)
Evaluate opportunities to connect with customers, including in-office and out of office opportunities based on customer needs and preferences (P2P Programs, Disease State Programs, Exhibits, State Societies, etc) Ensure all actions align 100% with company compliance policies and procedures, including all legal and ethical guidelines
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree
At least 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience OR relevant account management experience

Demonstrated longevity by having held less than 3 jobs in the past 5 years Ability to adapt to a changing environment/marketplace
High processing speed to comprehend and communicate complex and new patient, medical and logistical information

Some overnight or weekend travel may be required Professional certification or license may be required to perform this position if required by a specific state
Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $129,000-209,000 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).Of course, the compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
