- Administers the Branch Operational Risk Reviews within the assigned region to monitor the operational functions of the branch, compliance adherence, and ensure that SOX controls are followed according to outlined procedures.
- Visits assigned branches in the region on a regular basis to observe internal controls and operating procedures, ensure branches are in adherence with bank policies and procedures, and to identify improvements to operational internal control methods within the branch.
- Engages and partners with Regional Managers, Commercial Teams, and internal business partners for service delivery and business process improvements within Retail Banking.
- Accountable for responsibilities related to the branches within the assigned region that include new account monitoring, employee coaching and development, execution of management meetings, and direct support for branches in researching and resolving customer complaints.
- Delivers W.I.S.E. service to the branches, departments, and teammates that fulfill our mission of improving the financial success and well-being of our customers.
- Support Mergers and Acquisitions by serving as the SME member of various project teams for the conversion tasks force, branch openings, relocations, and branch closures. Works closely on vendor management for all operational tasks related to the event.
- Serves as the operational support team member for branches within the assigned region for all disaster recovery and business continuity activities that transpire, coordinating with the Regional Manager on employee safety and activities to ensure operational soundness during the disaster.
- Maintains a current understanding of bank policies and procedures in compliance with all federal and state laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (SARs, CIP, OFAC), Information Security (GLBA), Identity Theft Red Flags, Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP), Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, and any other applicable regulations that may be specific to your job duties.
- Supports branch management with customer support issues and branch development analysis for ongoing training.
- Serves as back up coverage for the Branch Operations Administrative Department.
- Partners with Customer Advocacy Group on Complaint research and/or branch contact.
- Partners with Financial Investigation Unit on fraud actions to reduce loss and risk mitigation.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
- Maintains a current understanding of bank published procedures and policies.
- Requires extensive travel.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Business or Finance from a four-year college or university preferred.
- 7+ years in an Operational role supporting a retail banking environment.
- Thorough knowledge of bank retail operations involving all aspects of deposit accounts.
- Thorough knowledge of Federal and State banking regulations pertaining to bank deposits and operations.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical ability to determine underlying issues involved in noncompliance with policies, procedures, and processes.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong time management skills.
The hiring range for this opportunity is $57,000 to $82,000 annually along with incentive opportunities, creating a competitive total compensation package based on our pay scale, and may be modified by location and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Operations Administrator I reports directly to Regional Operations Administration Manager and is responsible for performing branch operational reviews, supporting bank mergers and acquisitions, and supporting the branches within the assigned region. This role contributes to determining business growth opportunities and raising risk awareness throughout the organization through proactive operational business practices, and monitoring processes. Other duties involve providing support for all branch operations functions and support all customers transacting in the Retail Banking network. Provides leadership to the supported branches to ensure consistent operational controls, regulatory compliance, and reporting procedures are in place to support the organizations growth while improving efficiency. This includes the administration of the bank’s Branch Operational Risk Reviews in which are relied on to support the Audit Program. Provides guidance, advice, and assistance on a wide variety of bank deposit operations policies and procedures. Responsible for making reasonable and sound decisions, evaluating risk and loss exposures, while ensuring the Bank remains compliant with required regulations and its written policies. To be successful, the Regional Operations Administrator must be able to partner and effectively communicate with all levels of management and customers. This role contributes to the risk awareness through the branches and reinforces the activities for the first line defense to achieve satisfactory audit performance and meet regulatory requirements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
