      POSITION SUMMARY:
      This position is responsible for all sales management activities for the Shawflex product brands in the Western Canada region as defined by the strategic direction of the company. The primary function of the role is to grow profitable sales through end use specification and channel management while collaborating with Engineering, Customer Service, Operations, Marketing and Accounting Departments.

      DUTIES:

      BUILD SALES IN A GIVEN GEOGRAPHY OR MARKET SEGMENT BY:
      • Targeting of End-User, EPC, Contractor, and OEM’s to generate demand and create specifications for Shawflex branded products through;

      o Customer visits and meetings
      o Technical presentations to specifying engineers
      • Develop and manage a channel distribution strategy to capture end-user demand of Shawflex products throughout geographic region including:

      o Distributor training
      o Joint visits
      o Coordinate account management activities with inside sales representative

      • Manage assigned accounts in region or market
      • If applicable, manage a network of Sales Agents to support distribution and generate end-user demand
      • Maintain effective contact and relationships with stakeholders primarily through visits and supported with telephone and email.

      • Develop and execute sales plan and roadmap
      • Maintain high profile in geographic region and market segment through participation in committees, attending industry events and networking
      • Maintain key customer profiles and update team through monthly report and visit/status reports

      • Assist with preparation of customer quotes utilizing market factors and price guide while following approval matrix

      PRIOVIDE MARKETING SUPPORT BY:
      • Gather and share information on new product opportunities, competitive actions, industry trends, market size, new entrants

      • Maintain excellent records on customer contacts and record in Shawflex CRM
      • Attending regional and local trade shows.

      ADMINISTRATIVE:
      • Annual performance self-appraisals and objective setting in Success Factors
      • Prepare and monitor budgets
      • Manage Region expense budget as per annual budget plan
      • Fulfill the requirements of the Shawflex HSE instilling a culture of IIF
      • Maintain conformance to Shawflex’s Ethics and Bill 198 Policies and Procedures


      REQUIREMENTS:

      • Minimum of 3 to 5 years sales/or marketing experience in the Wire and Cable (or comparable market: Electrical, or Electronics industry)
      • Previous experience in technical sales, channel management, and Distribution.
      • Holding a Bachelor’s degree - preferred.

      • Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently (up to 50% of the time).
