      Regional Security Manager India

      POSITION PURPOSE:

      • The jobholder is responsible for all security-related activities in India; which are relevant in protecting Bayer's employees and business, as well as sites, assets, intellectual property, and reputation.
      • Develop India-level security management policy and effectively implement across diverse Bayer locations in India. Coordination and collaboration with colleagues for other countries across South Asia (Bangladesh, Pakistan etc.)

      YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Collects and disseminates information related to local security risks, monitors the security situation and initiates changes to global security travel advice.
      • Oversees the allocation of local security structures and resources and ensures these are adequate and proportionate in consideration of the security-related risks.
      • Oversees the selection of security suppliers and keeps track of security suppliers’ contracts.
      • Oversees, documents, and tracks local security projects.
      • Point of contact for all security related incidents or crime events in the country.
      • Accountable for incident and activity reports to Bayer Corporate Global Security via the global collection database (DMT).
      • Responsible for fostering a Country Security Community including the community meetings.
      • Communicates global security policies and procedures to the Country Security Community, coordinates and supports implementation, tracks progress, and escalates delays.
      • Coordinates on-boarding and training measures for Site Security Focal Points.
      • Where needed, develops local regulations that define standards for local organizational structures, and processes, while ensuring consistency with global regulations.
      • Where needed, develops specific trainings and security programs for employees or coordinates available regional and global trainings and programs.
      • Builds and maintains relationships with local and national competent authorities including regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies and relevant industry associations.
      • Act as primary local liaison to law enforcement and security related government agencies and security consultants based on Corporate Compliance Policy.
      • Accountable for compliance and conformity of local security activities with all pertinent security-related regulations, which includes liaison and coordinated compliance with National Programs.
      • Where needed, conducts Site Security Vulnerability assessments (SVA´s) in consultation with the global SVA program lead.
      • Member to the Regional Security Community [Asia Pacific] and participates in Community meetings.
      • Coordinates security-related crisis management activities in the country in accordance with Global crisis management framework.
      • Participates in local Anti-counterfeiting team and supports counterfeit investigation.
      • Oversees smooth operation of the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and share timely and relevant intelligence inputs with stakeholders.

      Key Working Relation

      Internal:

      Bayer Corporate Office-Corporate Global Security (CGS), South Asia Leadership Team, Site Managers or Site Services Managers (Focal Points), HR Partners, Communication Partners, Public Affairs, Sustainability and Safety Network, Real Estate – Facility Management, Internal Audit, LPC

      External:

      Authorities (Police, Fire Department, Local Disaster Management, Customs, Local Government authorities etc.), Security Service Providers, Security System Manufacturers and Suppliers, Industrial network

      WHO YOU ARE:

      • Graduate/Post-Graduate with 10 years’ experience in the field of Corporate or Industrial Security Management, Military, Law Enforcement, or a combination thereof.
      • Experience with Physical Site Security, Security Technology and solutions, Event and Executive Security, Incident Management.
      • Current knowledge of valid local laws, permits, and official ordinances & regulations relevant to security and experience with respective implementation and documentation requirements.
      • Ability to deal with stress and unexpected circumstances.
      • Must possess excellent organizational, communication, and diplomatic skills and be able to interact in a highly matrixed organizational structure.
      • Demonstrated ability to develop, organize, document, and implement trainings and awareness campaigns.
      • Must have fluent oral and written English communication skills.
      • Team-oriented leadership skills & experience with community management.
      • Willingness to travel, within the country, the region and globally, as required
