      Position Overview:

      The Regional Vice President (RVP) has full Profit & Loss (P&L) ownership and accountability for all operational aspects of the Veterans Affairs (VA) Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) within their geographic region. This includes, but is not limited to, financial performance, operational execution, strategic growth, and talent management.


      Core Responsibilities

      • Identify and execute opportunities for improving the financial performance of the individual clinics and region in collaboration with Assistant Business Managers (ABM) and Clinic Administrators (CA) in the management of each clinic’s financial performance with specific emphasis on revenue growth while controlling costs and ensuring contract deliverables are achieved.

      • Develop effective control and approval processes to ensure cost optimization, accuracy and timeliness.

      • Report monthly on financial and operating metrics, performance gaps, and variance to budget analysis to include recommendations/actions to attain budget goals proactively.

      • Provide ABMs and CAs with financial, business, performance, and leadership coaching as needed.

      • Oversee compliance with established policies and procedures of both Valor and the VA, as well as compliance with procedures to manage medications, vaccines, equipment, and supplies.

      • Leverage business intelligence/data analytics tools (Power BI, e.g.) to drive business decision-making and outcomes.

      • Innovate, embrace, and support new initiatives - strategic, clinical, and operational – and execute initiatives that drive the success of the business.

      • Develop innovative and effective operational and/or program strategies and procedures for regional clinics to accomplish the objectives of Valor/VA and share best demonstrated practices with Valor leadership to ensure consistency across the CBOC business line.

      • Develop, nurture, and proactively manage strong and collaborative working relationships with key government stakeholders.

      • Emphasize attracting, coaching, mentoring, and retaining talent through excellent communication, interaction with key leadership (Outreach, HR, Finance, etc.), and enforcing key competencies.

      • Along with the Proposal / Business Development Team, lead proposal efforts on, and be the subject matter expert for, proposals submitted for CBOC opportunities within the region; ensure that submitted proposal documents meet all requirements of the RFP and differentiate Valor’s offering from those of competitors.
