      Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are one of the most critical members of a students team and have the potential to tremendously impact the quality of a students life. Here at the Childrens Guild, Transformation Academy, RBTs would provide supervision, training, and assistance to 1:1 aides as a member of the Behavior Department under the lead of a BCBA. This opportunity includes both direct care work, as well as supervisory work. The stakes are high with the work we do.       This is a school-based position, so supervisors and colleagues work side-by-side to support our clients.

      Responsibilities:

      • Supervise 1:1 aides as a member of the behavior department at Transformation Academy.
      • Impact the life of a child by providing high-quality 1:1 ABA therapy to client(s) with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
      • Engage in regular classroom meetings and paid trainings
      • Regularly review student data and assist BCBA in ensuring treatment changes occur
      • Intermittently work in classrooms to assist staff and students
      • Implement feedback from supervisors
      • Be energetic, creative, and imaginative
      • Assist with crisis intervention as needed
      • Communicate regularly with the students classroom (teacher, teachers assistant, and 1:1 aides) and BCBA
      • Collect data throughout the school day in a timely and efficient manner, as well as oversee 1:1 aides collection of data
      • Provide feedback on the implementation of behavior plans to 1:1 aides, in conjunction with the BCBA
      • Assist classrooms in creating program materials for individual students as needed
      • Be a positive member of the center community
      • Be punctual and responsible


      • Must have a commitment and enthusiasm to helping children and families with ASD and other developmental and intellectual disabilities
      • Be reliable, efficient, and have a strong work ethic
      • Bachelors or Associates (or the equivalent credit hours) in Psychology, Special Education, Social Work, or related field, recommended
      • Experience working with children with special needs, e.g., autism or developmental delays strongly preferred
      • Have a Registered Behavior Technician credential with more than 2 years preferred
      • Ability to interact in a professional manner with children, families and colleagues
      • Ability to work collaboratively as a school team member
      • Ability to work well independently and seek assistance when needed
      • Possess strong attention to detail for data collection
      • Organized, flexible, able to follow instructive guidance and willing to take constructive feedback
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
      • Able to maintain student confidentiality
      • Record of success in previous positions as evidenced by excellent references
      • Comfortable using technology

      Physical Requirements:

      • Ability to lift, push, pull children up to 40 pounds, and able to complete the physical demands of the job (implementation of crisis intervention procedures, frequent sitting and standing, sitting on and getting up from the floor, kneeling, bending, and running with children).
