  Clinical Counsellor, Part-time

  Location: LHG Synergy Health Centre @ 3960 Quadra St #106, Victoria , BC V8X 4A3

  Synergy Health is a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation centre providing high quality care to our clients. Our clinic is located in Saanich and offers a bright, clean, and comfortable setting for our clients. You can find us near Quadra & Mckenzie (across from the Whitespot) along the Galloping Goose bike trail, with ample car parking in front.

  The schedule for this position is 12 hrs per week, with flexible hours and the work can be done virtually.

As a Partner in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS), Lifemark is seeking Registered Clinical Counsellors to join their interdisciplinary teams of health providers who deliver medical, psychological, psychosocial and vocational rehabilitation services to eligible veterans.

  Our Registered Clinical Counsellors are serving the needs of other client populations on work-related disability with a focus on occupational rehabilitation. If you are a personable and confident RCC with 5 yrs of experience as a fully registered RCC with the BCACC, we invite you to apply to join our awesome team on a part-time basis in our beautiful Synergy Health Centre clinic in Saanich!

  Responsibilities:

  • Provide clients with assessment, consultation and psychoeducational services
  • Active participation in regular team conferences involving client and members of the interdisciplinary teams
  • Communicate effectively with staff members, clients, employers, referral sources, family members and other counsellors
  • Psychological case management input and direction to the therapy teams pertaining to initial assessment, treatment planning, clients' progress, conflict resolution, stakeholder discussions and problem solving, and discharge planning
  • Quality reporting and communication
  • Orientation and mentoring to assist other team members to effectively manage clients' psychosocial issues

  Qualifications/Experience:

  • Masters in Counselling / Clinical Psychology
  • Professional registration with the applicable college or association
  • Ability to use creative and structured approaches to assist clients to self-manage
  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and other correspondence
  • Ability to communicate using different styles and methods to suit individual clients and situations
  • Ability to make fair, practical and objective decisions about best solutions to problems
