      Minimum Required Qualifications

      Dental Assistant I: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

      Dental Assistant II: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience AND 2 years of experience performing dental assistant duties.

      Dental Assistant III: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience AND 4 years of experience as a registered dental assistant in a private practice, clinic, or dental training program.

      Required Licenses and Certifications - FOR ALL LEVELS:

      • Registered Dental Assistant in the state of Texas

      • CPR certified

      The successful candidate will possess knowledge of dental terminology, as well as instruments, materials, and standardized dental procedures used in dental care and dental radiographic equipment operation. They will have knowledge of infectious control policies, aseptic techniques, supplies, and equipment. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, exhibit strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to explain procedures and policies while following verbal and written instructions, guidelines, and objectives.

      *Compensation and classification are based on the analyses of the above qualifications during the recruitment process.

      What you need to know

      Work Schedule/Location: Located in Dallas, TX, this is an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm.

      Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.

      • Dental Assistant I: starting at $17.78/hour

      • Dental Assistant II: starting at $19.56/hour

      • Dental Assistant III: starting at $21.51/hour


      Some of the Responsibilities Include:

      • Patient Care: Perform indirect patient care procedures to include preparing the patient and treatment room. Prepare for and assist during procedures. Schedule patients, coordinate chart retrievals, and handle financial transactions. Respond to student and patient inquiries regarding clinical policies and dental procedures. Provide direct chairside assistance to graduate students during the examination and treatment of patients. Four handed dentistry procedures are utilized, and suction and retraction needs are anticipated and performed without interfering with the vision or access of the student

      • Environmental Health Standards: Utilize recommended infection control procedures at all times. Utilize dental materials and instruments for procedures and ensure the setups are appropriate for the dental procedure performed. Perform disinfection/sterilization of the operatory, instruments and equipment according to OSHA and local policy and procedure.

      • Medical Imaging: Provide radiographic services and assist with oral photography. Operate dental radiographs equipment to take intra oral radiographs. Assist in obtaining pre-treatment and post insertion photographic records to include retraction and mirror positioning. Prepare, mix and assist in the use of the various materials, following manufacturer guidelines or the instructions of the dentist.
