      The Role

      As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will develop and implement personalized dental care plans, conduct patient screenings, and provide counseling on oral health. Your expertise will help patients manage their dental conditions and improve their overall well-being. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, and bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Develop and implement individualized dental care plans for patients.
      • Conduct patient screening procedures, including oral health assessments, health history reviews, oral cancer screenings, head and neck inspections, and taking patient vitals. Perform periodontal and dental charting.
      • Evaluate dental conditions and patient needs, providing advice on proper home care and treatment for teeth and gums.
      • Educate patients on maintaining good oral health through proper home care and treatment of teeth and gums.
      • Document dental history and chief complaints accurately.
      • Record and report pertinent observations.
      • Document lab procedures and ensure follow-up on results.
      • Assist with or initiate emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during patient treatments.
      • Work with a diverse patient population, including pediatric, pregnant, and medically compromised patients.
      • Coordinate and plan educational programs to enhance understanding of good dental practices.
      • Prepare reports and assist with other paperwork as needed.
      • Perform documentation and office management duties as required.

      Skills and Qualifications

      • Proficient in teeth cleaning, pediatric care, and working in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC).
      • Bilingual: Spanish/English preferred but not required.
      • Must be certified.
      • 2-3 years of experience, ideally in an FQHC setting.
      • BLS/CPR certification.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $95680.00 - $116480.00/yr.
